The Pollyanna Virus (and How to Cure It)

Worry and wonder are good barometers. They balance your conscience. Worry and wonder keep your thoughts, emotions, decisions and behaviour in check.

It is well documented that too much worry increases your stress levels. Less is said about the effects of wearing rose coloured glasses on a full time basis.

Too much wonder reduces your spiritual immunity, thereby increasing your chances of contracting the Pollyanna Virus. One of the major symptoms of this spiritual illness is an inability to ground your spirit. This means your physical survival is at risk. Fight and flight responses are then unconsciously activated. First and second chakra health issues are the consequence of a long term inability to ground your spirit, and thus protect your health.

If you are a victim of the Pollyanna Virus, all you need to do is one or more of the following. Let your intuition guide you in your choices as you read through this list.

  • Aerobic type exercise
  • Group gym classes
  • Weight Training
  • Belly Dancing
  • Ballroom Dancing
  • Health and Fitness Screenings
  • Get a Massage
  • T’ai Chi
  • Martial Arts
  • Hatha Yoga
  • Exercise in outdoors or in a natural environment

Worry and wonder help you to maintain a better life balance. A healthy amount of worry and a healthy amount of wonder are good for your health.
