Question Everything

When I start to realise that I’m suffering from a lack of sound judgement, or I’ve lapsed into making too many poor decisions, or I’ve been feeling ungrounded, or hypersensitive, then I know I need to question everything for the next few weeks to get me back on track again.

 If everything in life is a quest, then it is worth questioning everything.

Question what you can see. Question what you can’t see. Nothing is too sacred to question because everything is sacred.

According to the classic hero’s journey, life is a series of quests. Quests can be challenging. If everything in life is a quest, then it is worth questioning everything.

If you need to feel more grounded, or you need to be more objective, or less subjective, or you need to improve your decision making skills, or be more discerning, or reduce hypersensitivity, then here are some quests that may help you get there.

Choose one quest at a time. Then spend a day practising each one:

  1. Question your motives
  2. Question your thoughts
  3. Question your feelings
  4. Question your five senses
  5. Question your actions
  6. Question your instincts
  7. Question your intuition
  8. Question your inner guidance
  9. Question your inner critic
  10. Question your beliefs
  11. Question your attitude
  12. Question your assumptions
  13. Question your dreams
  14. Question your desires
  15. Question your passion
  16. Question your lust
  17. Question your wishes
  18. Question your habits
  19. Question your addictions
  20. Question your obsessions
  21. Question your worries
  22. Question your kindness
  23. Question your generosity
  24. Question your guilt
  25. Question your selfishness
  26. Question your greed
  27. Question your pride
  28. Question your ego
  29. Question your image
  30. Question your awareness
  31. Question your responsibilities
  32. Question your boundaries
  33. Question your limitations

Sometimes you need to be less subjective and more objective about life. I’m not suggesting that you ignore your emotions. Being too objective too often bypasses your ability to feel your feelings. You need to feel your feelings because feeling your feelings can be healing. It’s more realistic to strive to find the place between being subjective and being objective that is right for you and everyone and everything important to you. Question what you can see. Question what you can’t see. Nothing is too sacred to question because everything is sacred.
